Texila American University (TAU) has taken its distance learning solutions to the next level by joining the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) a global body that promotes inclusive, affordable, access to quality education in the field of open, flexible, and distance learning.
As an institutional member, TAU will gain access to ICDE’s global community engaged in drawing the full potential of open, flexible, and distance learning. The membership will also facilitate knowledge exchange and visibility in the ICDE Newsletter Social Networks channels, website and peer-reviewed ICDE scholarly journal Open Praxis.
The membership is valuable for Texila which offers a range of degrees for working professionals who can upgrade their education without leaving their job. The university’s online degree courses are well-designed and coupled with advanced training in various disciplines.
ICDE has over 190 institutional members from over 70 countries, speaking over 40 languages, and impacting over 15 million students across six continents. TAU was listed under America (central and south) and is the only university listed in Guyana.
