The unprecedented global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the students’ higher education. The pandemic’s rapidly changing circumstances emerged when Texila was planning to reopen the classes from March 2020. With resilience and innovation, we witnessed a massive success by offering effective remote learning to our students. Texila showed a significant rise in providing online education and academic support through virtual models with technological advancements.
We had to address three major issues:
- Facilitating the existing students
- Managing the new students
- Helping students to cope with the online classes
With our uniquely-designed teaching model and well-planned structure, we provided an enhanced learning experience to our students and handled these challenges wisely. Our employees were provided with flexible options to work remotely with integral technology efforts.
The ultimate aim is to incorporate result-oriented and student-focused learning methodologies with quality education through state-of-the-art technology-enabled academic services. Our student mentors and academicians have provided adequate support to our graduates, enabling them to become well-rounded professionals. Our standardized techniques helped students to learn from anywhere, anytime, without any hassles.
During this pandemic period, our Learning Management System (LMS) would be the only option for TAU students to learn their subjects without any interruption. TAU’s robust platform turned out to be an effective solution for students to learn and exchange knowledge in a collaborative environment.
At any cost, learning should not be disturbed. We ensured that our students access all the course materials via an online portal that would help in effective learning. Also, LMS is designed so that more than 5000+ students and staff at Texila stay connected.
Global classroom learning is a possible method to support students’ holistic social, academic, and emotional development. It reminds us of the principle, ‘compete with yourself,’ and the university introduced Eden Research workshops. It focuses on teachers’ changing roles to support and enhance the student experience of learning with technology and high-quality research. The university also organized a free certification course on the topic, “Infection, Prevention, and Control for COVID-19 pandemic,” and 1000+ students were offered a completion certificate.
As part of the outbreak response, Texila American University created this free online course on what people need to know about the novel coronavirus, its background, and how to protect you & your community. This course’s learning objective was to understand the history, transmission, symptoms, possible treatments, and potential prevention of the virus.
Also, we had another proud moment with our PG students, who became COVID-19 pandemic warriors during these challenging times. Our beneficiaries working as doctors in various hospitals, had put their relentless and continuous efforts around-the-clock from day one till now. In these seven months, they have been working in the front line facing the challenges and fighting against the pandemic with no leaves and day-offs.
The success of any organization lies not only in the happiness of its customers but also in its employees’ retention. Texila strives to create a collaborative work environment for its employees to learn, explore, and evolve. We always welcome innovative ideas and encourage our employees’ contribution as we firmly believe that it will bring better results. Also, we help our employees improve their personal and professional skills to grow along with the organization.
We took a step ahead in providing the best to our employees in all aspects and implemented new methodologies to ease their work from home. We also made all possible measures to improve their work experience, which helped us offer high-quality academic services.
To keep our employees engaged, we organized several training programs that helped them boost productivity and improve performance. With all these, we have raised for the new normal to lead our business effectively.
Here’s a video that covers glimpses of how we emerged stronger than before during COVID-19 pandemic and a few of our student testimonials.
