As a part of its Health Club activity, Texila American University, Guyana (TAU), arranged for a Blood Drive on February 1, 2021, in association with the National Blood Transfusion Services and Red Cross Society.
Blood donation is the best service to humanity as it saves lives. As a way of giving back to the community and ensuring students understand the need for contributing to community service, TAU organized for this noble cause. Many students volunteered and donated blood during the camp. It is heartwarming to see the participation of our future doctors in such a community service even before they start practicing medicine. Keep up the good work, students!
Besides, TAU has arranged it following COVID-19 guidelines and ensured the safety of every participant with precautionary measures.
We are grateful to the National Blood Transfusion Services and Red Cross Society for helping us organize this camp. Great appreciations to the faculty, staff, student volunteers, and every participant for making this Blood Drive a grand success even during this pandemic situation.
Also, check “Blood drive and Emergency Training” event was organized on 21st January 2020.
