In collaboration with The Art of Living and the Guyana Foundation, the Campus Wellness & Resilience Workshop was successfully held on July 30, 2025, at Classroom B#205. This wellness initiative was designed to equip medical students with practical, science-backed techniques to manage both academic and personal stress effectively.
The workshop featured an interactive format, combining guided breathing exercises, deep relaxation practices, and mindfulness-based meditation techniques. Participants actively engaged in these practices, gaining first-hand experience in integrating them into daily routines for lasting benefits.
Key outcomes from the session included:
- Stress and anxiety reduction through controlled breathing patterns
- Improved concentration, focus, and emotional stability
- Development of a positive mindset to tackle personal and academic challenges
- Enhanced resilience and overall well-being
The atmosphere was one of openness and active participation, with students expressing appreciation for the practical tools shared. Many noted that the techniques would be valuable in managing exam pressure, clinical responsibilities, and personal challenges.
This event provided not only a moment of calm and rejuvenation but also reinforced the university’s commitment to fostering a balanced, mentally resilient, and thriving campus community.
