Admission Requirements for Canadian Students
TAU offers two entry points into the MD program. Your academic background determines which pathway you apply to.
Designed for students entering directly after secondary school. Applicants should have completed a Canadian high school diploma or equivalent, with strong performance in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Successful completion of the Pre-Med phase leads directly into the MD program.
Designed for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, or a minimum of 90 credit hours of undergraduate coursework, including prerequisite courses in Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics.
Both pathways require official academic transcripts, a valid passport or government-issued photo ID, two to three letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Proof of English proficiency is required where prior education was not completed in English.
Studying medicine abroad requires financial planning for tuition, living costs, travel, clinical rotations, and licensing exams.
