On Friday, February 21st, 2025, Texila American University hosted a special pre-Republic Day celebration at its campus, bringing together staff to commemorate Guyana’s 55th Republic Day anniversary. The event was a wonderful occasion filled with joy and camaraderie, allowing all staff members to come together and celebrate this significant milestone in Guyana’s history.
The event kicked off with warm greetings and well wishes from Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh Rajput, Registrar and Chief Operating Officer for Guyana’s Republic Day, which marks the country’s transition into a republic in 1970. The staff enjoyed a relaxed gathering with light refreshments, fostering a sense of unity and shared pride in the nation’s journey.
One of the highlights of the day was the staff photo session, where everyone came together to capture the moment in celebration of Guyana’s 55 years as a republic.
