Clinical Campuses
Guyana Campus
Our Clinical Campuses
Texila American University (TAU) operates clinical campuses in TMC, Arizona, and GPHC, Guyana, providing students with hands-on training and experience in medical practice. The TMC, Arizona campus offers students a dynamic learning environment within the state-of-the-art facilities of the Tucson Medical Center (TMC), a renowned healthcare institution known for its commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education. Here, students have the opportunity to work alongside experienced medical professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of medical specialties and clinical scenarios. Through rotations in various departments such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology, students develop essential clinical skills and knowledge that prepare them for their future careers as healthcare professionals.
Similarly, TAU’s clinical campus at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) in Guyana provides students with invaluable clinical training experiences in a diverse and resource-limited healthcare setting. As the largest hospital in Guyana and a major referral center for the country, GPHC offers a unique learning environment where students encounter a broad spectrum of medical conditions and gain insight into the challenges and realities of healthcare delivery in developing countries. Under the guidance of experienced faculty and healthcare professionals, students at the GPHC campus engage in clinical rotations across various specialties, contributing to patient care while honing their clinical skills and cultural competence.
Both clinical campuses offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in real-world healthcare settings, fostering professional growth, and preparing them to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities worldwide. Through experiential learning and mentorship, TAU’s clinical campuses in TMC, Arizona, and GPHC, Guyana, empower students to become compassionate, competent, and globally-minded healthcare practitioners poised to make meaningful contributions to the field of medicine.
