In order to progress in a sustainable way, the management of Texila American University CEO, Mr. Syam Kumar, CAO, Dr. Hugh Duckworth, and Dean, Dr. Dheeraj Bansal met with Georgetown Public Hospital CEO, Dr. Khaleed Sadiq, to discuss the future of healthcare in Guyana and the role TAU plays in it to enhance the services that are equitable, accessible and of high quality.
Discussions were held on the quality of TAU’s clinical program and increasing the number of clinical spots available to the university. The team also discussed collaborative research and training for residents and interns to be headed by the TAU academic team.
GPHC and TAU have been working together since 2013 in offering clinical training for the University’s students. Hundreds of TAU graduates have completed their internships at GPHC.
