In a strong display of social responsibility and community engagement, Texila American University (TAU) hosted a blood donation drive on May 28, 2025, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS). The event, held at the TAU campus, commenced at 10:00 AM and continued until 5:00 PM, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, administrative staff, and members of the general public.
The drive was organized as part of TAU’s ongoing commitment to health promotion and community service. A total of approximately 60 donors came forward to contribute selflessly, understanding the critical importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives. Their donations will directly support patients in need of transfusions due to surgery, trauma, medical conditions, and more.
Medical professionals and trained personnel from the NBTS were present throughout the event to oversee the donation process, ensuring that all health, hygiene, and safety protocols were strictly adhered to. Donors were guided through the entire process—from initial health screening to post-donation care—making the experience smooth and reassuring for both first-time and regular donors.
Drives like these not only help replenish the national blood supply but also serve as an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation. Many students expressed a sense of fulfillment and pride in being able to contribute to such a noble cause.
TAU is proud to have hosted this impactful initiative and extends sincere gratitude to the National Blood Transfusion Services for their collaboration and professional support. We also thank every donor who came forward to make a difference.
At TAU, we believe in educating minds and nurturing hearts. This blood donation drive is a testimony to our commitment to building a healthier, more compassionate society—one drop at a time.
