Texila American University successfully conducted the New Student Orientation Session for incoming MD students on 23rd March 2026, marking the beginning of their academic journey with a comprehensive introduction to the program.
The session commenced with a warm welcome address by the Dean, who shared key highlights of the MD program, including the academic structure, examination patterns, and preparation strategies for USMLE. The Dean also proudly presented updates on Texila’s residency match achievements, inspiring students with the success of previous cohorts.
This was followed by an academic session led by Dr. Jagan, Assistant Dean – Academic Affairs, who provided detailed insights into the academic framework, curriculum expectations, and learning strategies essential for student success.
Dr. Sooraj, Assistant Dean – Student Affairs, conducted an informative session on important school policies and processes, ensuring students are well-informed about institutional guidelines and support systems.
Subsequently, Mr. Chakkaravarthy, Manager – Student Affairs, engaged students with an overview of student support services and administrative processes designed to enhance their university experience.
The orientation concluded with an interactive session by the Library Team, who introduced students to library resources, digital tools, and facilities available to support their academic and research needs.
