NEET 2020 exam date has been announced to be conducted on July 26, 2020!
During his interaction with students this Tuesday, Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Union Minister of Human Resource Development, has announced that the NEET 2020 exam will be conducted on July 26, 2020.
NEET 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on May 3, 2020. However, on March 27, 2020, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had announced that due to the recent wake of the COVID-19 epidemic, the NEET UG had been postponed to the last week of May.
Upon considering the prevailing situation, the date has now been postponed to July 26, 2020. Likewise, the Admit Cards will be issued after May 17, 2020.

NEET (UG) 2020 Is Postponed
On March 27, 2020, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG, which was scheduled to be conducted in May 3, 2020, had been postponed to the last week of May due to the recent wake of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The NTA issued a Public Notice on March 27, 2020, Friday, stating:
“As of now, the examination is proposed to be held in the last week of May 2020. The exact date will be announced later on after assessing the situation.”
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown and the prevailing uncertainty, the NTA has postponed the NEET 2020 to May-end. However, the date is not yet announced. After assessing the situation, the authority will announce the exact date.
Likewise, the issuance of Admit Cards has also been postponed, which was planned to be issued on March 27. The NTA will issue it after April 15, 2020, after assessing the situation.
The notice further elaborates on the reason for the postponement of the exams to preserve the well-being of every citizen, including students, during this epidemic.
It is also mentioned that the NTA would keep students updated on the developments in the decision process of the exam dates with ample time. They encourage students to make use of this time for focusing on critical concepts to close learning gaps and preparing for the exam well.
