Texila American University proudly hosted the “Cultural Expo of Nigeria” on Friday, July 4, 2025, an event organized by our students to celebrate and showcase Nigeria’s vibrant cultural heritage. The event was a lively and enriching experience filled with traditional music, dance, attire, food, and educational activities that highlighted the beauty and diversity of Nigerian culture.
The program commenced with the national anthem of Nigeria, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Dheeraj Bansal, Dean & Chief Academic Officer of the College of Medicine. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, and students, creating an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere.
One of the key highlights of the event was an interactive quiz segment based on facts about Nigeria, which energized the audience and promoted engagement. Students also delivered a well-researched presentation outlining essential aspects of Nigeria’s history, geography, culture, and contributions.
Adding to the authenticity and excitement of the event, Nigerian students proudly dressed in traditional attire, representing the colors and spirit of their nation. A special attraction of the event was the food stall featuring traditional Nigerian snacks, which received much appreciation and added flavor to the celebration.
Overall, the Cultural Expo of Nigeria was informative, engaging, and a true celebration of multiculturalism, allowing students to learn from one another and embrace global perspectives in a fun and interactive way.
