Monroe College BBA & MBA Program in Texila
The BBA program at Texila American University is intended to provide a solid foundation in management and administration. It is a coveted program that provides students with a plethora of opportunities.
TAU students enrolling in their Bachelor of Business Administration will be able to transfer their credits to the Monroe BBA program and graduate from the Monroe campus in New York, which is the first of its type in Guyana.
Students will spend the first two years of their degree program in Guyana at TAU’s campus, similar to Monroe’s MBA program structure. Students will then have the option of finishing the final two years of their study in the United States at Monroe’s Campus.
Monroe’s BBA program has a flexible timetable and allows students to design their own multidisciplinary paths.
Admission Prerequisites
Students who are interested in applying for Monroe’s BBA through TAU should be aware of the following stages and requirements for admission:
- Completion of Online Application
Students must submit the online form to join the Monroe BBA program.
- Admissions Essay
As part of the admission process, students must submit an original written statement describing why they want to pursue the BBA, their aims and expectations for the program, and why they chose Monroe College as their institution of choice. At the BBA level, students’ application essays should be at least 350 words long.
- Proof of English Proficiency
Applicants must provide a TOEFL (80), IELTS (6.0), or ESL certificate.
- High School Transcript
For grades 10, 11, and 12, the student must submit an official High School Transcript outlining their academic records and accomplishments in high school.
- Submit Certificate of Completion of High School
- Official College Transcripts
This step is only necessary if the student is pursuing a credit transfer. If the student is about to send unofficial transcripts, they should be scanned and sent. In the case of official transcripts, the student must send certified transcripts from the previous degree or diploma programs delivered directly to Monroe College from the institution the student attended. If applicable, certification of completion for a degree/diploma.
- Letters of Recommendation
Students must provide two (2) letters of recommendation. We suggest that recommendation letters be obtained from credible and relevant sources such as past or current employers, principals, guidance counselors, and teachers or lecturers from any secondary or tertiary institution that the student has attended.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV):
Students must submit a recent CV highlighting their complete career experience, educational background, and extracurricular activities relevant to their studies.
- Students must submit proof of completion of Texila courses and transcripts to be eligible for credit transfer.
- Students will receive an invitation to an interview by Monroe’s Admission Board after their application has been received, evaluated, and approved.
Monroe College MBA Program in Texila
Texila American University is bringing Monroe College’s MBA to its campus in Guyana. Students will have the option to complete the entire Monroe degree in Guyana or transfer to Monroe after one year and complete the remaining program in New York. Monroe’s Master of Business Administration from the King Graduate School is certified by ACBSP and offers its students the talents and skills needed for their careers. Monroe provides graduate students, including those working part-time or full-time, with flexibility for their studies from all walks of life.
Students will also complete their MBA degree within less than two years if they study at Monroe. They will have the advantage of flexible course planning.

- Submitting Admissions Essay
As part of the admissions process, students should submit an original written statement describing why they want to pursue the MBA, their aims and expectations for the program, and why they chose Monroe College as their institution of choice. At the MBA level, students’ Admissions Essays should be at least 500 words long.
