Texila American University hosted a webinar, “Awareness talk on Organ Donation,” on 24th February 2023.
Dr. Shamdeo Persaud, Ex-Chief Medical Officer(CMO) to the Government of Guyana and Professor of Doctor-Patient Relations at Texila American University, was the webinar’s keynote speaker.
This event was held as part of Texila’s CSR initiative. Dr. Persaud spoke about the importance of organ donation and the various types of organ donations in this session. He also discussed the laws governing organ donation in various countries.
The webinar was informative and interesting, and it sparked an interest in organ donation among the students and faculty who attended.
